She probably didn't have a lot of friends, but Sakura Matou has returned home.

[ Her tone sounds slightly bothered. Her and Sakura didn't talk that much while she was here, but something about Sakura's sudden disappearance bothered her a bit. She wasn't too sure why, since they hardly said a word to each other here or in Fuyuki.

She decides to drop the Sakura subject, since it's something that she doesn't want to talk about, and moves to another one, flipping through a book as well. ]

Hey, why do the gods erase our memories when they return us home? It sounds really tiring.

They've never told us why. And they don't give us a reason for whether some people come back remembering the city and some don't, either.

... So I wasn't mistaken when I heard that.

I know a lot of people that returned home recently too so.... that's really unsettling.

You know, they're making it harder and harder to trust them.

They tamper with our memories. That's kind of creepy.

They're practically going through our memories and seeing them. If that's not the definition of creepy, I don't know what is.

And there's no way to fight it?

Imagine returning home knowing the world is going to end, yet for some reason you are no longer suited to help stop it.

[A beat, then a short 'heh.']

Only a certain sort of personality could accept that.

It's like with dreams, isn't it? No one wants to remember the strange ones.

Well I guess they are gods... I don't understand why they even do a thing like that.

It would disrupt the flow of our timelines, wouldn't it? To remember all of this and then try to go back to living as we were...

Um... maybe they don't want us to remember this place. It's like a secret.

[ pause. ] Was this Sakura person your friend?

It would be hard to trust them even if they told us everything they did. People should know if they're going to war. [ he feels pretty damn strongly about that, and you can tell by his tone. but it's less rough than it was some months ago ]

Of course. I won't argue with you on that.

I guess they think that we wouldn't do it if they asked us, so force was the only option.

As far as I know, the gods have control over us.

I've heard some come back with their memories, though.

Are you really buying that whole "the world is going to end" garbage?

Ah, I thought my Archer was better than that. Anyway, it seems like most people want to go home, unless they have some kind of attachment to this place. If they really believe that the world will end because of Asgard's problem, then they're being too gullible.

Some people remember strange dreams. This shouldn't be any different.

They don't seem to be against disrupting flows and what not.

It's probably the worst secret ever, then, if people come back with memories of this place.

[ he thinks about it for a second, before nodding. ]

I guess it's not really my business. I was just curious.

There are plenty of creative ways for the world to go down in flames; at the very least, they have some evidence to support their claims.

Regardless, it seems simpler to leave people in their ignorance, doesn't it? Would you wish to remember anything from here?

... not that fun to hear it confirmed...

M'yeah, but they only disrupt us in Asgard. Maybe it is to prevent us from telling people about the end of the world?
