[When the feed starts, there's Inara sitting on her couch, nursing a cup of tea. She looks a little washed out, tired even, but such is the effect of having been gray for however long she'd been. She is slowly getting more color in her cheeks, so for that, she is most grateful.

She lowers the cup and offers a small smile.]

Nǐmén hǎo. Seems many are coming back from unexpected... uncoloring. [She frowns slightly because that just does not even sound right. But, it's what had happened to many.]

I'm not entirely certain how long I was not myself, but it would be nice to know what I've missed in my absence. Perhaps someone would be kind enough to fill me in?

I hope the two of you are well and staying out of trouble. Perhaps we could all meet up, maybe for dinner?

[Oh hey Inara. Turns out you and Kate are kind of in the same boat.]

I wish I could be more help, but I just got back a day or so ago myself. [Have a small smile, though.] The bracelets must 'disappear' in groups.

So it seems, but thank you all the same. [She offers a small smile in return.] Were you gone for long?

What do you mean 'uncolouring'?

[Also excuse her for the not!staring (at least she did most of it before turning the feed on. This woman is almost on par with Rosalie in the looks department. Way above Rose with the whole manners thing, but. And, as far as she knows, human! Or maybe not? Couldn't possibly...]

Well it happens when one misplaces their bracelet or decide they don't need them. Apparently they somehow set us apart from the, I suppose, gray natives. Without the bracelets, we become like them and lose what makes us ourselves and also we lose our color and become gray.

[It's quite alright. Inara is use to people not!staring at her and doesn't even seem to notice when it happens, that and well to be honest, she's entirely too polite to let others when she does notice it.]

I don't believe we've met. Are you new?

[Right. Dinner. That's a perfectly normal thing that perfectly normal people with perfectly normal relationships - like themselves! - have every now and then.

Mal hesitates for a moment, swallowing a small bit of anxiety before answering.]

Can't speak for Simon, but you'll be happy to know that I've managed not to get myself shot or arrested this entire time. But... it's nice to see you back to your old self again.

[If that isn't an understatement, he doesn't know what is.]

[ Having not heard from Inara for a while, Scott looks relieved to see her face appear on the network. ]

Hey... You turned gray too?

So.. Take the bracelet off, lose who you are.

[Wow that sounds ten kinds of awesome. Never taking the damn thing off, then.]

Good to know. [Oh. Um.] Yeah, just. Got here yesterday. I'm Bella.

People always tell me I need more color... I guess that's doubly true here.

[ a shrug. he's been told about the whole "gray" thing, and admittedly doesn't sound too pleasant. but at least she seems to be fine, whoever she is. ]

You okay?

Yes, that's exactly what seems to happen.

[Inara's certainly learned her lesson. It's never leaving her wrist again.]

Oh, well... Welcome to Asgard, Bella, it's lovely to meet you. I'm Inara.

[She somehow manages to keep her smile from turning into something that just screamed that she was suddenly nervous. It wasn't that she's not happy to see Mal - she's just not entirely sure how they're... getting along after everything.

BUT, as she thinks, she decides she's not going to let that get in the way of anything. ~~Hopefully it won't~~]

Good, I'm glad to know that you can indeed behave yourself when you're alone. [Her eyebrows raise a little and then she finds herself truly smiling at him.] Thank you, it's... It's nice to be back to normal. Have I been gone long?

Scott, how lovely to see you again. [She smiles warmly at him. She's always liked him. So sweet.] It seems as though I had. Were you as well?

I can't rightly say if I agree with them. [She smiles though, she's not being entirely serious at the moment.

Her eyebrows raise a little and she can't help but be a little surprised by his show of concern.]

I am now, but thank you for asking.

[She hesitates a moment before continuing.]

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't believe we've met before. I'm Inara, Inara Serra.

[ he is a bit unnaturally pale... allergic to sunlight and all. ]

You're probably right. I just got here... today, actually.

[ time sure does fly. ]

[Well, that would certainly do it. But yay! He can go outside now!]

Oh! Well, welcome to Asgard. That's probably not something you really want to hear, but...

[She'll just stop there and move right ooooooon.]

It's lovely to meet you, Angel. How are you settling in so far?

[Longer than I would have liked, he almost says. But even with certain... events having transpired, he's still every bit as unsure as she is as to just how things - as in, things - are going between them.]

It was a pretty lengthy spell. Came as a bit of a surprise, to be honest.

No, a welcome's always good. Even if it's not somewhere you want to be.

[ but that is a good question... how is he settling in? he's just sort of been... drifting through so far, talking to people and trying to get his bearings. ]

I'm not sure.... This place has its perks. [ always nice to get to walk out in the sun without bursting into flames. ] But I'm always kind of needed somewhere else. Makes it hard to really enjoy things.

[His attitude makes her eyebrows raise a little, though not in a bad way... She's not met many who are... Actually decent right after their arrival. She finds it refreshing.

She smiles.]

It does. I found myself among... friends I hadn't expected to see again. Have you been lucky enough to find people from your home here?

[Her head angles a little to the side.]

I like to think of this as a... vacation, I suppose. From what I understand, when we're sent back to our homes, we're returned to the exact moment we were took from. If that's true, perhaps that will give you a little comfort and let you at least attempt to enjoy things here?

No such luck. [ though he actually hadn't even considered that possibility... he figured he'd be the only way drawn into this mess. ] Wait, you mean that happens? So there could be other people I know here?

[ ...okay that definitely deserves some looking into. ]

Yeah, someone told me that too. Time stops or something like that. [ a shrug. ] That makes things a little easier to accept, but I still don't like getting dragged into something like this without so much as a please.

[ sigh. ] Sorry, it's just... my friends were really in a lot of trouble.

[Hey, at least she doesn't have to find out from first hand experience.]

Inara. [She smiles, glad to see another familiar face that hasn't disappeared entirely.]

I was gone, but... I actually went home for awhile. I'm back now, though, and I'm not going to let myself be sent away again until everything is done here.

I haven't quite figured that out yet. I think a couple of weeks.

Of course it's okay. Please, ask whatever questions you want.

I'm from a planet called Shinon. Most here haven't heard of it since they're mainly from time periods where humanity is still on Earth.

[She nods slowly. She honestly glad he's replied, even if she is confused about where they stand... At least they're not bickering... That's something, right? Of course it is.]

I hope you weren't overly worried or think... [She's just not going to go there. Stop while she's ahead.] Why surprising?
