[ The camera switches on as Mithian falls into a chair with a soft bout of laughter. She looks into the bracelet with a sweet sort of encouraging smile even as she rubs the top of one foot. When she speaks she sounds graciously amused--] If the gallant Sir Gwaine's dancing is indication there may be a few of you that could use a few lessons out there.

[ Hasty and defeated-sounding interjection from off screen for her troubles: ] You have my word that I'm well-coordinated in every other aspect of my life, Princess.

[ Mithian grins to the camera.] I am sure that is true. Regardless, I would be glad to give dancing lessons to anyone who is willing, if only to spare the feet of others as well as my own. If anyone is interested, please, let me know.

Turns out they've only got a sense of preservation after all.

[For a moment, he puts his hand to his chin, his index finger upright against his cheek and the rest of them covering his mouth. Well, perhaps some measure of normalcy helps people out in a place like this.

He moves his hand away from his face, actually considering it for a moment. Tāmāde, he was actually considering taking dancing lessons.

God, he needs to find steadier work.]

...Would there be a lot of opportunities to dance here? Because I haven't seen very many so far.

I take it that Her Highness enjoys a challenge as well. [ He will take that hand, though. But a rather exorbitant amount of his-own-feet-watching is to be expected this time. ]

If you ever happen to hear of a dance that requires a weapon to perform, you'll have to let me know. Be an instant improvement.

Perhaps then you can teach me how to better wield a sword. For as skilled as I may be on the dance floor, I am still learning the ways to defend myself. [ And here, dancing is not a useful skill.

She moves them to the proper position before she finds the tune of the music once more and starts them moving slow.] Think of dancing as a bit of swordplay. You have to anticipate my move and make one of your own. When my left foot moves forward, your right moves back.

If he'd done the nobility proper bit, this would probably be something he got taught ages ago. Nice to be in it of his own free will, though.

Exactly. [ She laughs softly, letting him keep watching their feet.] I think it's a fair trade, do you not?

I think I may be coming out the victor for spoils, but I'm happy to strike that deal with you. [ Risking a quick glance back up to smile and everything. Proper smiling, not even just the flirting variety. ]
