[Guess who's back? Backs again? John is back....and he's clearly very confused, tell a friend. He's seated in front of Thor, reluctant to go in until he know more about just what the hell is going on.]

Okay, obviously I've been missing for a while, but...

[He trails off with a frustrated sigh. He runs a hand through his hair, scanning the street in front of him. Something's different, he knows it.]

Yeah. Big battle-field, lots of fighting, gods and people dying, etc, etc.

They say the war isn't over, though. That it was just a battle.

Three full days of pitched battle with two days of rest in between, heavy losses on our side. The climax and turning point came on the 4th Day when Freyr ordered everyone to retreat inside the city and -- he seemed to engulf the entire plain.

[John stares at the man in disbelief for a moment before answering.]

[Besides the one on the way at home, but that doesn't count now because Mary's still 19 here.]

Yes. We put up a much better resistance then I would have thought our civilian recruits capable of, but they had an undeniable edge.

Apparently, it did. It looks like it's peaceful again now.
