[Hello everyone, have a Text from "???". Yup, he's not even bothering to anon now since Vanitas and Nakama seem to be officially out of his hair.]

It seems like the House is getting a little small, huh Loki?

I guess that means all you Travelers are lucky. You won't have as many people sifting through your thoughts or have objects randomly levitating.

[That's a laugh. He's always always always sifting through people's thoughts every day, whether it's native or Traveler. However, he's bored right now and wondering how much smaller the House can get.]

Besides that, what's the most important thing to you right now? Or if you're going to get upset over a personal question, here's another: what's "special" to your world? What makes it unique compared to others?

[ There's a moment's hesitation before he answers. Thinking about those that are important to him brings about a regretful twinge he'd rather ignore. But if there are two things he loves to boast about...well, it's definitely the people and things he values the most.

I'll answer both your questions, since I see no reason not to. First off! Angela, my girlfriend back home, is probably the most important thing in my life, hands down--Er. Well, her and archaeology. I don't know where I'd be without either, to be honest! [ Kind of an awkward laugh. Angela would smack him if she had heard that comment. ]

As for what makes where I'm from special, well, I'd say puzzles. It's a peculiar thing, really. I've only been here a short time, but I've already noticed the severe lack of them--I haven't been asked a single one since my arrival!

[Funny, he didn't think anyone would actually be willing to answer the first question, and yet it's the second part that catches him off guard. The guy makes it sound like there would just be puzzles lying around everywhere or people would be constantly talking about them. It's a weird thought.]

I don't know what you can do about archaeology here, but would you want your girlfriend here with you?

It doesn't mean the same thing here, but back home, it's the most important thing. And I can't be soft when I get back. I have to stay ready for what's coming.

Well I've no doubt I'll be able to make do without archaeology to occupy myself with. [ It was unfortunate, of course, considering he loves archaeology with a passion, but... ] If anything, I can just take a close look at what the city does have to offer--you never know what might pop up, you know?

[ He laughs. ] I wouldn't say it's an obsession, per se, but people often go to those around them with anything they might be having trouble figuring out, or problems they just can't seem to solve. It's rare you'll see a day when you don't run into some kind of puzzle.

You're not going to remember anything once you go back, so whether you become "soft" or not won't matter.

Then let's say I'm doing it for me. I've got too much history to be forgetting what I am and what that means to other people. I'm not setting myself up for a fall just because everyone claims there's a net at the bottom.

You could always grow too. You may not even notice it until someone points it out to you. [Sort of like how he's noticed his own evolution and Vanitas'.]

It's not a matter of growth. You don't grow out of looking out for number one because no one else is going to, otherwise you wind up dead. You grow into it when you stop believing that the world or anyone in it owes you protection just for existing.

I didn't mean discarding your identity for growth, I meant your identity will grow. The chance of keeping it the same as when you arrived goes down the longer you're here.

And when you go home, whether you like what you've turned into or not, you'll lose it. [Something he's almost turned bitter about.]

So it's inevitable, huh? We'll see about that. I've got someone here to keep me grounded.

So what was so important about your identity back home?

Once someone's tried to wipe out your entire kind, you get a bit possessive over your right to exist as you are. And that was just the last attempt to either control or destroy us, or both. It's not a war I'm going to forget about just because it's not happening here.

Of course you wouldn't forget that kind of thing. But even if you did, then it wasn't as important as you thought. Or immediate concerns may outweigh it.

My immediate concern will always be what they've done to me here. Nothing else matters.

Are you referring to the gods now?

Good guess. They've found a way to do what the humans back home wanted to do, only without outright killing us, and given us weak consolation prizes to spit in our faces.

And I swear to god, ???, I will find a way to hunt you down and shut you up personally if you say there's nothing that can be done about it. I've heard that one too many times.

[Considering how vocal this person seems to be, he can already narrow it down to a few people who have just arrived. It's even easier now since it seems to be a problem with powers being taken away.

So you've swallowed the Kool-Aid too. I really do hope it turns out to be a powerful psychic behind all this, because it would explain a lot about the people here.

I work a little differently compared to others, so I have another perspective on the issue.

Anyways, I've grown into my power compared to the ones I've lost, so I'm not too upset about losing all of mine. [He doubts his system functions would be compatible with the Network anyways, so they would've been useless.]
