The Magic to Heal

[Video/Action for Sigyn]

[The background is already shifting as she walks, her pace brisk. There are definite signs of crying - she's still sniffling, and hard as she may try, a few tears keep slipping down her cheeks - but she's trying hard to hide it as much as possible while she addresses the network.]

...I'll be at the hospital. If anybody... If you need to be healed, I'll heal you as soon as I can. And if you can't get to the hospital, I can come find you.

...I'm so sorry.

[Enrique, seeing Hibiki crying, grows worried and heads for the hospital. He begins searching everywhere for Hibiki while calling out her name. The prince hopes the young girl will hear him and say where she is.]

[She does hear his voice, although she doesn't try to call out. Instead, she finishes healing up an NPC before stepping outside of the room, looking around for the source of that voice.]

E-Enrique-sama?

And he knows that look of defeat. The tears and sniffles only confirm what he feared; she is indeed upset. Poor thing...

He's heard about the sickness through the commotion just in his own home. And of course Nakama had wanted to go aid the healing efforts.

"I keep meeting you at bad times... You're in a hurry?"

Ah... It's really a shame they only meet up during times like this. She pauses for a moment, brushing her arm over her face again. "I want to go to the hospital. I normally work there, s-so... I want to make sure everybody's okay. And if they aren't, I... I want to do whatever I can to help."

He sighed and knelt down to sit level with her.

"The burning sickness?" He only knows... a little about this so far. But he's heard that there was some sort of plague, almost. "And -- heh. Do you... happen to have a spare bit of fabric?"

[Even Hibiki will be able to tell how worried Enrique is from his face alone. He's also having a bit of coughing problems from running around looking for the young girl.]

Hibiki! Thank the Moons I found you, are all right?

Yes, I'm fine. I've been helping people since I found out...

[She stiffens when she hears him cough.]

...Enrique-sama, did you... Did you get the vaccine?

[ This is not related to the request or anything, since she's... more worn out than sick at all. However, seeing this on the network, her heart sank painfully at the image of a crying Hibiki again. She had to at least reassure her friend of her conditions. ]

Hibiki-san. I am alright.

"Yes. I went over some of the messages people were sending while we were away." Her head droops. She shouldn't have gone. She should have been here, helping out.

She has to think about the second question for a moment. She's just got her usual shirt and shorts, and...

"Would my cloak work?"

Ikezawa-san!

[Her relief comes rushing out in that name alone. Hanako is here and she's alive and she's okay and-]

Oh, thank goodness. I- I wasn't sure if... If you were...

"Yes. You can use mine, too."

He moves his head forward, shaking off the small capelet either onto the ground in front of her or in her hands if she's prepared.

"I just need you to hold them both. It'll be faster."

"Umm... Okay."

She quickly slips out of her cloak and holds them both, not... entirely sure why they're necessary, but not quite thinking to ask why, either.

Vaccine? What vaccine? [He's a little confused.] I've been camping with Vyse and Aika for some time now and recently returned. And I'm all right, I'm just a little winded from running around the hospital trying to find you.

Karu isn't good with the whole 'explaining himself' thing.

He doesn't even warn her as he starts to summon the ice magic from his hands, holding them out over the two cloaks. The fabric soon grew cold as the frost formed in them.

Thankfully, both clothing items seemed resilient enough to handle the frigidity. All he intends to do is flood them with ice to take with.

"I have a couple of handmade bandages on me too. Washable! I usually don't leave home without them. You may take them."

Oh! ...That's a really handy power right now!

"Thank you so much! These will come in handy, I'm sure of it!"

[ Lucy Pevensie cannot let anyone pass her by, especially when they are look as upset as this girl! She looks somewhat familiar, but likely only because they are in the same area. ]

Oh! Are you all right?

[He was... looking for her?] ...I'm sorry. I was so focused on trying to help out now that I'm here...

I just got back from Utgard, but it seems a virus has been going around. The vaccine stops you from getting infected.

[Not that she really knows a whole lot about how it works, but still!]

You should get it as soon as you can. It kind of hurts because it's a shot, but it's better if people don't get it. Some have... Some people have died. And one of the symptoms is coughing...

I saw your message over the bracelets and grew worried. I promised Vyse and Aika I'd take care of you, that's a promise I don't intend to break. [He's smiling.] Also are you one of the people to give this vaccine? I'll gladly get it if it means you'll be all right and less worried. Did you inform Vyse and Aika as well? They may need it.

[Aaaaaah don't worry about her, she'll be okay...]

I don't have the vaccine with me, but if you ask one of the other nurses I'm sure they'll be able to show you where they are. And... I totally forgot to tell everyone! I'll call them now--

[She hurriedly lifts her wrist to contact them.]

Y-yes, I am. [Trying to wipe away the last of the tears.] I'm a healer... Do people in the hospital still need help?

[Enrique gets down on one knee to try comforting her.] Everyone will be all right, Hibiki. Please don't be so worried about us. Here now, come with me. We'll find one of the nurses and you can watch me get the shot, is that okay? I'd rather you be there with me as well.

[ She rests her hands to the girl's shoulders, trying to calm her.]

They can always use extra hands! I've only been helping a few days, but things may be getting better now. People just need company, really, a friendly face. Don't cry, everything will be okay, really.

[ She smiles softly ] Maybe I can walk with you? I'm Lucy, Lucy Pevensie.

I haven't caught the sickness. The immunization worked properly on me.

[ But it came with the cost of seeing her friends drop like flies... ]

How was the trip?

[Oh. Well. Even if he can't move, Ichigo hates to see Hibiki crying.]
