Better late than never, I'd say.

[ Charles has been trying to adjust to life in Asgard. He was pulled out of his world, at the worst possible time only to arrive to the fact - he was void of his telepathy. Adjusting is a work in progress. But he's treating this thing like it was a presentation or a lecture, so he's doing his best to look adequate. Like it's not getting to him. The smile he passes is an easy one. ]

I suppose, it's common courtesy to introduce oneself over the network. My name is Charles Xavier. Before arriving in Asgard, I was a professor of Genetics. I had written a thesis on genetic advancements, mutations. People with gifts. Gifts that were very much so similar to the 'powers' bestowed to us by these gods. Gifts with untapped potential to be the catalyst for a better world.

In Asgard, we are a put at a point - where everyone is put on equal footing. Everyone is in possession of these gifts and we're capable of having peaceful cohabitation. But it does beg the question, before Asgard - was anyone in possession of gifts?

[ he understands. people lording over the fact they're the better men. its what he sees as what shaw as doing and feels its an inevitable path for erik to take. he'smore worried than anything really. but most - most is a better answer than anything he's been expecting. ]

I think these situations can be avoided with proper education in regards to the volatile nature of people who essentially grew up with these powers. What we can do about that is bridge in situations of mutual understanding. Build on trust and not fear.

Sorry, I'm rambling. How did you acquire your powers?

That's where my line of work comes in. HEROTV gives a few of us NEXT the job to protect the city while broadcasting live on television.
It's like one of those Saturday morning cartoons, except with real criminals.
Because we're on TV, I guess it's causing more people to be a little more accepting of NEXT.

Well, I was born with them, but they didn't start appearing until I hit puberty.

[ that actually doesn't sit quite well with him, i mean, fighting crime? thats smashing but being broadcasted as one fights it? ]

And what if you NEXT find yourselves injured or something similar? I don't think some things ought to be broadcast. But, yes. I suppose by that reasoning it does have it's advantages.

Were your parents NEXT as well?

Well, usually, we're pretty safe. A lot of the criminals we face are petty thieves and what have you. Child's play, really.

[ Though Kotetsu's been injured badly twice in the past two years due to his work, even though he's not about to mention it. He wouldn't have it any other way, though. He's willing to risk his safety for the greater good. ]

When we aren't tracking the bad guys down, we act as first responders for other emergencies along with the police and the firemen.

And no, they weren't. My generation is the first generation to have appeared with these powers.

[ tiger you have no idea how happy this conversation makes to learn that people are using their mutations for good and are actually doing something with their powers. it makes him giddy okay. ]

So your generation started as the pioneers for genetic evolution?
