Good evening, Travellers.
[Uther is seated at the table in his house, hands clasped under his chin, though he's not resting anything on them. He might look perhaps a little bit better off than before, if anyone's payed attention. A little less tired, a little calmer.]
My name is Uther Pendragon and there is a matter on which I wish to... ask your opinion.
[Don't mind the pause. He's just really not used to asking for opinions from every single citizen. Not that the Travellers are every single citizen, but close enough.]
It is very obvious at this point that there is some power in this world that wishes us and this city harm. A war, as the gods put it. They wish us to fight it, but I have heard that not many Travellers are very familiar with the workings of war, that not many of us are soldiers.
I am the King of Camelot - I have fought many battles, and I do know how to fight a proper war.
If there is a wish to learn, I would like to teach. If they do want us to fight a war, it is best if we truly know what we are doing. That way, we will be stronger, more capable of protecting and looking after each other and fighting back whatever forces shall come at us.
War means planning and tactic, knowing how to use the battleground you are given, but also on making quick decisions in situations of struggle and disorder. Wars are generally fought in armies, in... groups of great numbers, if you rather, and I would count on the enemy doing so. I believe we should do the same, if not for the gods, for our own sakes.
If there is interest, I shall arrange such lessons.
