3rd Performance | The Gods must be crazy

Y'know, I haven't been here for very long and I'm still trying to figure this place out. I know it's really jarring to be pulled out of your own world and into another without any warning. Heck, it's even downright scary! I can totally understand being angry at the people responsible for it, too. Desperate times call for desperate measures, I guess.

I saw the cute little thing one of the Gods posted for someone, and it kind of explained a lot! Even before I saw that, though, I noticed a little bit of a trend.

Every time one of the Gods posts something a lot of people treat them pretty rudely. Like I said, I can understand being angry and scared...but is it really a good idea to act that way toward the most powerful people here? Sure, it would have been better if they had asked for our help before just pulling us here...but would anyone have said yes to their request?

I don't know if anyone else here has ever been in a situation where they had a chance to do something to save an entire world, but even despite the circumstances it's a chance to do something really cool and incredible! We can help save an entire world, and if what that God posted is true, a whole bunch of other worlds too...even our own.

I dunno, I kind of feel like I'm rambling. I guess I'm just saying we should probably try to cooperate with the Gods and do something to help. We're here anyway, right? I bet the quicker we get it done the quicker we can go home. Plus, it'll probably end in some kind of grand show! A final battle with the evil bosses! It's like something out of a video game, and will probably be something really cool to be a part of.

Besides, they're Gods. That demands some kind of respect, right? I'm not trying to suck up or anything, and I'm really not even sure why I decided to do this. I just figure we should be more cooperative since we're here anyway, and we might even become some kind of mythical heroes in the process! Even if you don't like the Gods, we should definitely all work together ourselves. We're going to have to fight for our lives, right?

I'm just a circus performer, though...so I guess I might be a little naive or something?

[Cerebella thinks about that for a moment, before the video feed mercifully shuts off.]

Gods are beings just like anyone else. They deserve the same respect and no more, unless it is earned.

The issue with choosing whether to fight or not is a matter of whether one believes the story the gods have given us.

Yeah, sure, let's go ahead and respect the nutters who brought us here against our will to torture us in the first place. That ought to go over well.

You're absolutely right though, you are rambling and you are being a little naive about this.

Actually, I destroyed an entire univverse. So, peddle your let's-all-wwork-together BS to someone a little more gullible.

Take it from someone wwith experience, you fuckin' can't savve everyone, an' insistin' otherwwise is just an exercise in futility. Not that humans are knowwn for anythin' else.

But I already swore I'd be mad at the gods from now on...I can't go back on my promise.

We can work together without giving in to those bullies!

To be fair, I don't think they should be thought of as gods. If they want real respect, they should probably earn it first.

I think it would be easier to think of them as individuals and give respect to each one you think deserves it.

That's at least the way I see things, Miss.

I have had that opportunity. It wasn't easy, it wasn't fun, and we certainly wouldn't have succeeded if our leadership behaved the way the gods here have been. As for respect - it should be earned, not demanded. I'm not against cooperating with the gods for the common good, but they could stand to do a little more to gain the trust of the people they've brought here.

[Her words made a whole lot of sense to Soushi; even though, he was currently upset with the rulers of Asgard for trying to kill his master for the second time. There are a lot of mix feelings inside him. However, he understands her point of view, it is only a shame there are those mocking her over it. Might as well put in his points along with congratulating her on her courage.]

There has always been a growing trend of the majority of the population treating the patrons of this world with a minimum amount of respect. If they do not respect the rulers, there are many of those who ignore their messages over the situation. It is not difficult to speculate the many reasons in doing so; which you have valiantly listed. [Yet, she was missing quite a few which he will address a little later.]

Sadly, however, I do not believe many of those residing in this world will agree with your thoughts over the situation. Many people come from worlds, where they lived in a similiar predicament. While many others, do not believe the rulers of this world's words of forewarning. Then there are those who simply do not care. Everyone have different personalities and thoughts over the situation. Especially those whom have been residing in this world for quite some time. They have witnessed far worse situations than the ones we just witnessed a few days ago. It is no surprise that many people do not trust the patrons due to being vague over the situation and withholding information. Along with a few of the rulers having angered those whom do not easily trust with their careless words, actions, and decisions. [He can still remember one of the patron's way of apologizing for the head and body explosions with a party which slightly angered him.]

But, I do believe you are correct about one thing -- once their lives are in danger, then they will fight with all of strength to survive. Be that as it may, they will only fight for themselves and loved ones, not for the rulers and natives of this world. It is rather difficult for a group to work together when there is no trust between them and to those who brought them here without warning.
