I just got here and I was wondering if it's possible at all to contact your loved ones at home? I can see on the map that there's things to do here to keep me busy... [ he's pretty happy there's a gym here ] ...but I don't want my family and friends to worry about where I am. If I could just call them and tell them I'm safe...

And would anyone be willing to let me try out my power on them? [ Not that he knows how to get it going, but he's kind of excited about trying out what he can do. ]

You can call me Maya. I understand the eastern order throws Western people off.

[Maya gives a a bit of an amused smile.] And I can give some of my energy to another or take some of theirs. All with a kiss.

I found the welcome to be most gracious, at least.

[He nods] I'm glad to have been able to help. Forgive me - I'm Lancelot. [Has anyone ever respectfully bowed their head before you, Sam? Well it's happening now.]

A kiss? Wow, uh... is there no other way for you to take or give energy?

It's common for Japanese people to call other Japanese by their family name, so calling me Natsume wouldn't be odd to me. But I'm adaptable.

[She touches her lips briefly.]

How hard do you have to kiss the person? Can it just be a peck or do you have to like... use tongue? [One awkward question at a time, Sam.]

[Maya laughs.]

[At least at Maya's level as she understands.]
