Considering there is a sky and stars, I think it would be strange if none of them went out occasionally. It's a natural process. [Balls of gas shooting across the sky isn't as magical as "shooting star".]

I don't think so. You would have to be very quick to take the picture and the camera would have to operate faster than I think is possible.
