[This is Inori, sitting in the living room of the house she shares with Shu and Gai in Odin district. At the moment, she has a basket sitting beside her, one full of clothes that she is folding. Funnell is currently sitting beside and folding away as well, until a white kitten with a black spot on its back comes rolling by, tangled in something.

It appears to be one of Inori's rather lacy, pink bras. And the kitten is chewing on one of the straps while sitting in the left cup. Both folders stop to watch it with completely deadpan looks before Inori reaches out to take back her undergarment.]

Onigiri.... give that back. [She reaches for her bra, but the kitten continues to hang onto it. Inori glances at her bracelet, completely unfazed that this is on display.]

Why would a cat want to play with this? [She dangles the pink bra in full view for everyone to see.]

[It looks like he's attempting to puff out feathers he doesn't have.]

Does no one in this city have any sense of discretion?

Discretion? [Short answer. Nope.]

Apparently not, but what else can you expect from apes, I suppose. To put it simply, you shouldn't simply display such clothing on camera for all the city to see.

Why not...?

[There was something wrong with that girl. Good god in heaven, why was she showing that right now?]

It's dangling, see those strands dangling down? Cats like to grab things like that. Is there any reason you're waving it around like you want us to guess your size?

[What kind of town had she walked into, really? Was there something in the water around here?]

[Everything is wrong with this girl.]

Why do they like to grab onto strings? [She waggles the bra and the kitten goes nuts trying to grab it again.] You don't have to guess, I could tell you.

In civilized society--even the human sort, so my history classes have led me to believe--there are some things you keep private. Unless you're really some sort of--I don't know, mole or something.

I don't make it a habit of asking random strangers bra sizes, lady! That's the sort of thing you need to know and nobody else. Oi!

They're cats. They're hunters and strings look a little like mouse tails. They bat at all sorts of things that are fast moving. Try dangling a string for one.

Maybe that's why Shu always gets embarrassed when I change in front of him...

So I shouldn't show this anymore? [Waves bra.]

[Attempting to puff out again, and flapping his arms once.] You should put it away immediately!

Oh. All right, then I won't tell you.

I'll have to go find some string around here...

Inori?

[He just kinda stared at her analyzing the situation. That cat was a gift to her and it'd been around for weeks now. The bra made him somewhat embarrassed and he didn't want to admit it. So he awkwardly glared at the floor hoping the bras would go away.

Fearing for his life he took the bra away from the kitten and handed it back to her.]

Here.

[Though he couldn't bring himself to look at her directly cause reasons and he's a prude. So embarrassed. Inori why?]

I'll move Onigiri so he won't bother you anymore.

[This whole city was insane.]

Haven't you ever seen a cat do something like that before? That's pretty much what they do all the time.

[Oh gosh, he's upset. Now she feels a little bad.]

All right. [She puts it back in the laundry basket, out of view.] Is that better?

[Settling down.] It's an improvement, yes.

To answer your original question, it's simply the predatory nature of cats to go after things like that.

No, I haven't. This is the first cat I've ever had.

[And said kitten rolls right into Gai's foot as he walks into the room; he pauses, quirking an eyebrow when he spots just what it is that the kitten is tangled, then reaches down to carefully remove the lacy undergarment without hurting the tiny animal.]

I think this cat is more interested in your underwear than Shu is.

[She takes back her bra and drops it in the basket, but Onigiri just leaps into the clothes and rolls around in them.]

He isn't bothering me. [Inori just lifts him out of the basket and holds him.]

He's just playing.

Cats hunt bras?

Right. So, you've never seen a cat, but that funny metal thingee folding clothes with you's completely normal. Let me guess, you're from weird space planet or something.

It's practice for hunting mice and the like. They're not particularly clever, so they chase most strings dangled in front of their noses.

[Inori smiles a little when Gai comes into the room. Yay, always nice to see him.

But his comment makes tilt her head.]

Does Shu want to play with my underwear too?

[... and smirking now, because oh man Inori you have no idea what you just said.]

Yeah, boys normally like to do that with the girls they're dating, but Shu is somewhat unusual.

Oh, now I get it. Maybe I should find Onigiri a real mouse instead...

If it's a housecat I doubt it would know what to do with the creature if it could actually manage to catch it, not to mention how unsanitary mice are.
