Hmmm, a lot of the people here have gone out and gotten jobs despite not actually needing them. It's surprisingly, you'd think more people would want to avoid the extra work...

[He pauses for a minute, looking thoughtful.]

I'm feeling kind of bored, so for those of you that have jobs, how different are they from the ones you had in your world? What made you decide to take the job you have here?

Back in my world I didn’t have one. In other words, I was unemployed. If I needed money, all I had to do was ask my family but I want to be a more independent person. I don’t want to rely on people when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Isn’t it obvious what I’m saying? I don’t want to use the excuse of ‘The Gods will provide me with anything I need!’ as a crutch. If I want something, I’d rather get it with money I earned. Furthermore, if I just accept what the gods give me isn’t that the same as accepting money from my family? [ She’d finally managed to escape the Shirakiin name here, and there was no way she was going to accept everything that was given to her free. ] That kind of thing is unnecessary.

I didn't have any since I'm a kid... and they're easy to get here and I might as well get something while I do what I like. Makes sense, right?

I never had need of one, in my world. However it seems necessary here for many things, including paying of rent.

[Living in the welcome hall had gotten old fast, and he'd wanted to be with his friends.]

I choose the job I have here because it utilized my power.

[And he has no job skills otherwise.]

I was the president of a holdings company, but now I must stomach menial employment should I ever wish for a private residence.

It's irritating, to say the least.

It's only different in that I'm getting paid to make things, instead of paid to fix 'em!

... I do a bit of that on the side though.

There's not much difference between what I do here and what I did home and that's why I decided to take that job. It's something familiar and it's something I know I can do.

I work at the hospital. Consolidating injuries makes it easier on the healers.

Hmmm... Making stuff is a lot more fun when I have people to bounce idea off of, admittedly... So I think they're about even as it stands.

It's weird, isn't it?
