It's interesting; I thought I'd seen everything but it looks like there's more out there.

What is your world like? Is it nice? How's the weather? Does it have anything interesting? What about the military. . .

( Spain you aren't being very subtle about your intentions here. )

Speaking of places. ( He holds up his copy of the map that was given to him. He taps at a random area outside the wall, ) Can anyone tell me about what is outside the walls?

Only the six city-states I mentioned. They're spread out across the globe.

( Holy shit that is scary to think about. There are more than six nations in Europe. )

What happened to all of the other lands? Are they just. . . gone? There's nothing left?

The land itself should be there, but it's no longer habitable. Or, at least, that's what I've been told.

[It's always been fact to him. No.6 never explained the details, and as such, no one questioned them.]

( This is really unnerving. Spain will be quiet for a moment, obviously deep in thought. Is this why he can't feel his people anymore? Why he's human? )

Pardon me, have you heard of a land called Spain?

[No.6 hadn't taught him about anything like that, but the name had appeared a few times in Nezumi's extensive library, not to mention that Shion had specifically searched for a book with an old world map as soon as names like Denmark and England came up in his reading.]

It was located in western Europe. Is that where you're from?

( Former. He looks almost dejected to hear that for a moment but he quickly recovers. )

Yes! It's the greatest land in all of the world! You won't find a better place anywhere.

I'll look it up in the library the next time I visit. I'm sure it's beautiful.

[And there's a moment of hesitation before he speaks again.]

I'm Shion. I didn't mean to bring your spirits down.

No, no, you have to see it in person! It's the best way to see everything.

Hola, Shion. You can call me Spain. Ah, no, no, no-- don't worry! Everything is fine. ( Here and at home! ) It takes a lot to bring españa down.

You're named after the country you live in? [At least his cheerfulness seems to be contagious, as Shion is now smiling as well.]

Of course, we're the same.

( And mumbling, thinking out loud to himself, )
Well, there's only one of me so there isn't really a "we." There are the people but that's kind of different.

What I'm trying to say is! ( Oh, that was louder than he meant it to be, ) I am Spain and Spain is me!

[It's quite a good thing that Shion's endless questions have died down a bit here, seeing as that he's accepting this rather quickly. He's pushed aside trying to explain how everyone was pulled from different worlds and how powers like this work and is instead trying to take it at face value. He's spoken to too many people that claim to be nonhuman or familiar with situations that aren't scientifically possible, and trying to figure everything out seems nigh impossible at this point.

Not that questions aren't racing through his mind, of course, because they most definitely are.]

So you're a country? Or would you be a sentient landmass that looks human? [Don't mind him as he has a brief moment of questioning if he's really asking something like this in all seriousness.]

Sí. I am the greatest nation in the world and-- ( WOAH, slow down. 'Sentient' isn't even a part of his regular vocabular. ) I think so?

I don't really know to be honest.

You must have experienced many things that most people here would never be able to.

That's true but. . . I've been through a lot of the same things too.

( Nations aren't really that different from people when it comes down to some things soooooo. )
