[When you open up this particular video feed, for a minute there's nothing but the sound of shallow, panicked breathing. Though her situation was explained to her and this is by far a better outcome than what she was certain awaited her in the orphanage, this was still a deeply troubling experience for her. She's spent too long waking up in unfamiliar places to feel completely at ease with this sudden change in events. Spending the past few minutes fumbling with her bracelet didn't appear to calm her down from her near-hysterical state.

There's several more deep, steadying breaths, as if gearing herself up to talk. After a moment, the soft voice of a young British woman comes out in a trembling, feminine pitch.]

H-hello? Can...can anyone hear me? [The maid said this was how it worked, but...she's been purposely given faulty directions before. It takes a toll on you after a while.

But never mind that, there are more important matters at hand. Such as-]

I...I'm not certain who can hear this, but...has anyone seen my dog? He answers to Brown and he's really quite friendly, so...I'm sorry if he troubles anyone, but...please, don't hurt him.

I beg of you.

[Waking up in an unfamiliar place? No problem. That's what she's been doing in more hostile environments for....god, it feels like months.

Waking up without her dog anywhere in sight? That's a cause for panic.]

Um...I'm Jennifer, so...if you see him, just...tell me, please. [The poor girl sounds like she's setting herself up for an execution by giving out her name]

I'm sorry for the trouble. And, um...

Brown, is it? What does he look like? [Her voice is gentle and soft, mindful of how scared Jennifer sounds.]

I don't think I've seen a dog around here at all. Why don't you ask the maids? I know they're really creepy but they work for the idiot gods that brought you here.

There's no need to be so apologetic. What does Brown look like, Jennifer? I have quite some walking to do today, and will make sure to be on the lookout for him. [ He's all smiles and reassurances to this lady :) ]

[Another one who sounds terrified. Nakama puts on her best soft, soothing voice and speaks up.]

There's no reason to be scared, Jennifer. We'll all help you look for your dog, and no one will hurt him. What does he look like... well, other than probably brown? Is he big or small, shaggy or short-haired?

[Well, that's...comforting. It's been a while since someone aside from Wendy actually spoke to her nicely.]

Um...he's brown. [Ahurdur, obviously,] I...I think he's a Lab? I'm not sure....I'm sorry.

[Oh my, you are very forceful. It's quite scary.]

Um...they said he would have come here with me, but I...I don't see him anywhere...

He...I think he's a Labrador, but I don't know for sure. He'll come to you if you call his name, and I'm sure he won't cause any trouble, so....

[She trails off, somewhat apologetically.]

[Oh. Someone else who likes dogs. +1 to you in her book.

She smiles.]

Yes...I really am very lucky to have him. And, um...thank you for your help.

Then if I see any dog today, I will try and call that name out to them.

[ His face feigns concern as she trails off, and he inclines his head slightly at that. ]

You must have been through a lot. Don't worry; wherever he is, I'm sure he's safe.

[Oh no.]

[There's that edge of panic in her voice again.]

I...I really need to find him.

[...Well, it at least works a little.]

I...I'm sorry.

He's...he's big, I think. I think he's a Labrador, but...I don't know for certain.

[She sees the concern and bites her lip nervously. He looks worried for her. Why would he be worried for her? Oh dear, what if she caused him distress? That's just terrible.]

I...I'm sorry. Please, don't worry over me...if I can find Brown, then I'm sure everything will be fine.

[ He attempts another reassuring smile. ]

My name is Johan. It's very nice to meet you, Jennifer. Would you like me to send you over a book that has a collection of dog breeds? You could pick out the one that looks closest to him. And if he's not here, then I'm sure he's safe at home, and you'll return to him soon.

Tch, that totally sounds like the kind of vague and unhelpful thing that they'd say. Well are you going to go look for him? This place is kind of big so I think you should have a plan first! I can't remember if there's an animal shelter here or... a lost and found box [ why would anyone put a dog there, sena?! ] but I know there's a pet store around here! They might know something!

Hullo Jennifer. [The feed is purely England's voice to begin with; as calm as he can have it, level and patient.] I'm afraid I haven't seen Brown, but I will inform you should I happen to.

[then he switches to video. He's dressed in a collared shirt and a plain jumper, apparently sitting at a desk. Nearby is a very comfortable cat curled and sleeping peacefully.]
