She smiles a bit, at once friendly and slightly dangerous]

Well! This certainly isn’t what I expected upon waking up to a bright light. I don’t suppose someone would be willing to help a lady out, hm? That maid—if you could call her that—was most unhelpful and not at all polite, to say nothing of the fact that she's apparently a horrible liar.

[Seriously. Does this world look gray to you?]

And if someone could direct me to this “Loki” gentleman, that would be lovely. I have some questions for him that I believe need answering.

[For someone who was just taken from her home, she’s alarmingly calm and composed, beyond that normally expected of Englishwomen of the time.]

The God himself seems to only appear by his own whim. I'm sure it doesn't hurt to request his presence, though. Things have been rather unpredictable around here lately.

Do you need assistance in reaching the Loki District? I assume that's where you've been assigned Housing.

You assume correctly, but I'm quite fine. I'm rather enjoying wandering around and seeing this "gray" world I've been brought into.

I do hope you enjoy the scenery, then. It's not usually like this, so it seems a nice surprise has heralded the arrival of newer citizens.

It often is. I believe this is only temporary, but I could be wrong. You certainly came at a time where this world is coloured with more beauty than usual. Please don't take this as too ominous, but I have the vaguest bad feeling about it all.

Well, yes, if we wanted to get technical, then I am as well. But I wasn't born to this Loki, and I feel no loyalty to him.

I wouldn't blame the maid for the misinformation -- it seems the citizens as a whole are quite unable to tell us what is going on.

Well, when the citizens are in their grey state, getting any but the most basic information out of them is impossible -- and there are some subjects that are strictly taboo it seems, such as the gods or the nature of the gates.

As time went on and some citizens regained colour, it was possible to have more in depth conversations, but the restrictions on those subjects remained in place.
