[There's a somewhat short blond man standing in Fryer's welcome hall, with a guitar on his back, and he's looking rather fretful.]

Alright, so we're supposed to be here to help; that's fine, I'd like to help if I can. But, what I want to know is what's it mean about the world we came from?

I mean...it's safe, yeah? All our friends and family... And we'll get to go back when we're done helping here...right? [Optimistic, but definitely not a hundred percent sold.]

That depends on how much we can trust what the gods have told us.

Odin said that all worlds are connected to this one and what happens here will effect them all. Given the similarities and instances of overlap between some of the realities here, it seems that the first part is probably true--

-- or that's what I heard some of the people here saying!

So, then, they are real, these gods? Alright.

I suppose that all makes sense...somehow. More sense than polar bears on a tropical island.

Polar bears?

Yeah...nevermind, I can't even explain it.

How old are you?

Basically if we screw up? Those worlds all get destroyed or something.

It won't be safe if we lose.

[The man's face and tone are incredibly calm, but there's a slight glimmer in his eye at the sight of the musician. After all, Jacob remembers every single one of his candidates like the back of his hand. He chose them, after all. So, seeing Charlie here, safe and sound, was something that gladdened him like nothing else.]

[A nod and a slight smile.]

It's good to see you looking well, Charlie.

That's what they said, anyway. That if we help, our worlds are safe, all of that.

[ A bit dismissive, though, like it doesn't really matter. ]

[Sigh. Not another new person.]

Man. These gods really have the bad habit of not giving us any breaks. Is it so hard to give you guys more information before throwing you out of the castle.

[Sorry, she is thinking outloud. Don't mind her.]

Okay, look. Listen very carefully to what I have to say because I will not be repeating myself again.

Your family and friends do not know you're here. Actually, from whenever you are taken from, time will not go on without you. So don't worry, no one is going to notice you're missing. [Well...] Unless you mysteriously disappear from here, then we'll all know you've gone back home.

I was told that nothing is going on where we came from. Time stopped and all that kind of stuff.

We had talking snowmen for a day but that was a long time ago now.

I'm seven. How old are you?

Oh..well, that's incentive enough there, isn't it?

[He gave the man a confused look. He knew he hadn't introduced himself, and this guy was definitely a stranger. Although, he seemed to know Charlie.]

Is there really that much reason to?

Oh...well, okay, then. That makes things easier, I mean, if everything just freezes, don't have to worry about missing anything or not being there for someone.

Well, sure, why not? I mean, they brought us here so they must think we can do something, yeah? Might as well go for it and then we can all go home.

Seems a little ridiculous but, if that's true, it makes things easier.

Walking snowmen? Really? I think I'd rather those over the polar bears, actually.

Well, they're gods, yeah? Why would they lie?

Because we don't matter at all, in the end.

Things are always going to seem weird, I think, so it's better to just roll with it.
