[ All evidence would suggest that Katherine Pierce had been laying low since her arrival in Asgard. Not kicking up a fuss was the best way to get her bearings and figure out who actually mattered in this city. Even more importantly, she had to know what made those people tick. Luckily for Katherine, she didn’t need to have her powers of compulsion to manipulate people to do her bidding. Arriving in Asgard was an inconvenience, but she didn’t need it to be a lifestyle change, too.
Sucking gray people dry wasn’t as satisfying as real, red, human blood, but it had done the trick for the time being.
Wiping a gray dribble of blood from her mouth, Katherine let the now lifeless body of an Asgard native fall to the pavement with a distinctive thud. The sound of a footsteps caught her attention and she whirled around, fangs still bared. ]
… Stefan?
[ Something wasn’t right, but even back home, Stefan hadn’t been himself back home either lately. She wasn’t going to let it shake her. She’d watched him from afar in the 20s, seen exactly what ‘the Ripper’ could do. ]
So they dragged you here, too? [ She twirled her hair, a smirk on her face. ] That’s too bad. I know how busy you were back hom--
[ He was faster than her, with her superhuman speed stripped, and she barely sees the flash of the knife as the blade enters her stomach. Letting out an audible cry, she reached for his arm to grab as she doubled over, but he was already gone. ]
[ Hissed through her teeth: ] Stefan!
[ The blood pooled around the knife, and she gripped the handle. Her practically automatic healing was gone. This was an injury that wouldn’t just disappear, pain that wouldn’t fade in an instant.
Being almost human had never sucked so much. ]

It's frightening.
So when he hears Katherine's voice stilt peculiarly over the network, Rei immediately falls under the conclusion that she's one of the victims. ]
Hello? Hey, can you hear me? Is everything all right?

Great, some kid is worried about her. She keeps her feed to audio for now, not wanting to reveal the pained scowl on her face. Pain or not, she does her best to sound simply hurt and not agitated. ]
Hello? No... I've been [ a soft grunt ] stabbed.

All right, stay where you are. I'll come help you. Where are you?
