[A small elf’s voice can be heard over the bracelet communicator, and damn she sounds pissed.]
Bloody bastards. This has to be some kind of sick joke. So people are dragged here, forced to live here for Maker knows how long – until the so-called "gods" here are bored with us – and a short explanation with a free place to live is supposed to make everything okay? Not. Likely.
[Audible growling sound. Her words are punctuated with irritation,] And no one else finds it a little odd in the slightest that they pick some important people to be dragged here? I’ve looked over the communicator and it’s definitely not like they’re only dragging over people who won’t be missed. Something else is going on here.
While I’m at it, I have some questions for the rest of you here. [She’s trying her best not to sound as irritated, but it’s hardly working.]
Has anyone ever tried to leave here before? More importantly, has anyone tried to leave before and succeeded? I mean intentionally tried to leave and succeeded and not by accident. [There’s a pause as she thinks for a moment.] Or... If you’ve tried to leave this place but failed. I’d like to know what you did and how it went wrong.
...And before anyone starts, it’s an honest question. I’m just curious. [She mumbles under her breath, but is still very understandable.] For now, at least.
