[The child who is excitedly talking while trying to type up a message (accidentally activating the video feed in the process) should be familiar to you, Asgard. The girl whose hand he is holding while trying to do all this (and walk) less so -- she's a slender teenage girl, wearing a high school uniform with a coat over top. She's watching Conan with a fond air that is discernible, despite her unease as she glances around the city. Clearly Ran is not yet accustomed to Asgard. Her tone as she responds to Conan is definitely that of someone trying to put a brave face on things.]

Of me? Here I was thinking Conan-kun was so busy he wouldn't have had time to miss me!

Ah -- of course I missed Ran-neechan! I mean -- [Much flustered head scratching and shuffling follows as Conan lets go of Ran's hand, turning around to face her as he tries to express how much he's missed her. Unfortunately, this means he's not looking at Ran and still smiling indulgently, the teenager uses her newly freed hand to pull the knife from her coat.]

--it's really different without her is all I me--eeean?

[Ran lunges with surprising speed given her feminine appearance. The video feed jerks back and then cuts suddenly. They're in Heimdall, incidentally -- open to action or bracelet-reactions!]

[ oh how cute he's made a-- friend?! Except that's definitely a knife, and now Tsukiko is panicking like a winner. ]

Conan-kun?!

[She's already at the hospital, watching in horror as more and more stab victims are brought in, but she's also scanning the network now and then for posts like Tavros's in case they have to send out the ambulance.

And that's how she sees this.]

Conan?! [The video cuts out on his end.] CONAN!!

[She... didn't just see that, right? Someone trying to stab a little kid?]

... What the fuck? Conan?

[Conan's not sure how much time passes until he becomes aware that the video function on his bracelet is flashing -- someone trying to get his attention. That's shock. Or is it delayed reaction?

He's sitting on the steps of a house, hand clamped over the wound in his arm. He lets go of it to activate the feed on his side, so unfortunately the first thing Nakama is going to see is a lot of blood.]

[There's a delay in replying. Being stabbed by your most important person tends to make an impression on someone, and it's a while before the fact that someone is trying to get his attention registers. When the feed reopens, Conan's sitting on a step, clutching his bleeding arm, taking rather shaky breaths as he attempts to steady himself.]

[It takes a bit for Euri's words to register. Conan's reactions are delayed as he struggles to process just what happened. He's seated on the steps of a house, hand pressed over his wound, upper arm messy with blood. Euri's words filter through and Conan winces. Ha -- What the fuck is right.]

Conan-kun! Where are you??

[It's nice to see Conan acting more like a carefree child. Bobby grins a bit, about to turn away to give the kid some time to himself with someone he clearly cares about when the girl unexpectedly lunges at him.]

Kid? Conan!

Conan!?

[Where --? Focus! It's another shaky breath before Conan can answer.]

Heimdall. I'm in Heimdall.

[Tsukiko sounds worried. He should probably go to the hospital. Concentrating Conan manages to stand up.]

Hold on-- I can run there--

[Conan doesn't reply right away. The feed cuts in and out intermittently until it settles on Conan, clutching his arm and taking a deep breath. There is nothing preternaturally calm about his reactions now -- Conan needs another moment before he can reply.]

Bobby-san?

[It's a little hard to focus still. Conan tightens his grip on his wounded arm, trying to think past the lightness in his head and the stickness between his fingers. Apply pressure, keep the wound elevated -- can't move it. The majority of his mind, however, is tied up with Ran -- there and then gone ... ?

His reply to Laurent is almost automatic.]

Laurent-niichan.

Run -- here?

[Think! Come on -- You're hurt. She-- Conan looks down, as if he's noticing his arm for the first time. Lifting his hand away, he takes in the cut. It's bleeding heavily and it's hard to tell just how serious it is but the fact remains that it's there and that she--]

-- stabbed me.

Ran --

[That's quite a bad the view, Laurent is already walking as he speaks.]

Where are you? Is that woman still there? [Don't pass out, don't ass out...]

[Fortunately Tsukiko already thought to ask that question and it doesn't take Conan so long to answer this time.]

I'm in Heimdall. On -- main road. We were going to the Welcome Hall.

[There's a pause before Conan answers the next part of the question, looking about himself as if he needs to confirm.] Ran's gone. She -- disappeared.

[Laurent stops, looks around and finally turns to the left.]

Alright, try not to move much. I am on my way. Keep pressing the wound.

She disappeared? In thin air? Other people are getting stabbed lately, I'm not sure what is going on.

[He doesn't look good - shit, is that blood??]

Conan? Hey, kid! Are you okay?

No, she --

[Conan frowns, trying to process what he saw. Thin air--

The words have never held such meaning before. But he'd reacted instinctively, tried to hold on to her with his body control, hold her still and she'd slipped from that grasp as easily as she slipped into nothingness.

What does that mean?]

I'm pressing the wound but I can't lift it, Laurent-niichan.

Euri-neechan.

[The words are very deliberate -- Conan has to think carefully not to slur them. Euri's question draws Conan's attention to the blood smeared across his hand and arm.]

I'm bleeding.

[His deductive powers are sharp as ever, clearly.]

[Oh god oh god oh god no, no, don't panic now. Must hold it together until everyone is healed.]

Conan, do you need the ambulance, or is someone coming for you?

Conan?

[it's a good thing seth can keep his head in times like this.]

Are you in Heimdall? [the scenery looks familiar—] I'll find you.

I'm in Heimdall.

[Answering that question is easy at least. The weird fogginess in his head is starting to draw back some, and if he concentrates, Conan can process Seth's question.]

The main street -- we were heading to the Welcome Hall.

Ambulance?

[That's right -- he's hurt. The wagon's not going to have a hard time reaching him on this street at least, but he can stand -- can't he?

Taking a deep breath, Conan pushes himself to his feet. He sways a bit but once he's on his feet he stays there.]

Tsukiko-neechan, I think. And Seth-niichan. Nakama, it doesn't make sense.

I'll find you, so don't move.

[seth's already out the door to be honest, and he's fast enough that it won't take him very long to cover the amount of ground necessary to find conan.

when he does, he's not really sure what to expect.]
