[ Crumple crumple, grumble grumble. Everyone gets the lovely sounds of some paper being folded and tucked into a jacket first and foremost, right alongside Giles' absent mumbling. ]
Well, er...I suppose that solves the problem of the existence of Norse deities, at any rate. I'd expected there was some truth to them, but to have credence to the theory-- unless it's all an illusion, of course.
[ Something metallic being tapped. Then, after a moment's hesitation and a slight 'ah!', the Pinch Test proves him true! ]
Right. Not an illusion. Er- is this thing on? [ shakeshake. technology!!! ] Bloody-- ah. There we are.
Er, hello. This is Rupert Giles speaking, somewhere between Gladsheim Palace and...hopefully wherever Odin's Hall might be. Ah--
[ Oh, hell with it. Might as well say it plainly. ] What on Earth is going on here, if I might ask? I've had an explanation from that, er, faceless woman...but it all seems rather unreal. A corroborative report would be lovely.
And some directions, ideally. This map's like the bloody tube directory all over again...
