01 [ Video ] || Action Open to Sigyn House peeps

[ Having long perfected the art of stealth, Chane Laforet has been a silent presence on the network for a few days, now. She's gathered the information she could, done the proper exploring once the sun had set each night in this strange, grey world, and made sure to trust no one.
The communication device was unlike anything from her time or world, but was basic enough in design that she caught on after a few fumbles, that would have been more noticeable to the network had she not been a mute.

And so. A woman with short, black hair looks at the community with a determined, if slightly confused, expression, and holds up a set of FLASH CARDS, as if she's presenting a project to a bunch of colleagues. She holds up one note, which reads: ]

"I have misplaced the map I was given by the maid-woman."

[ Then shuffles it to the back, pulling out the next. ]

"Please, if anyone can reproduce something like this for me, I would appreciate it."

[ Her expression becomes slightly uncomfortable, as she's now second-guessing this entire decision. Nevertheless, she holds up another awkwardly floppy poster board. ]

"Can the people here see if some have no eyes? Some speak though I do not see their mouths."

[ And another one. This time she's holding it up in front of her face, so she doesn't have to feel as awkward... ]
"If I could be shown where to go to acquire the proper materials to arm myself,
that would be very helpful too."

[ Final note! ]

"Thank you for reading this message."

[ And she just slowly ... puts down all the notes, and sits, staring way too intensely at the video feed. She seems to be RIGHT outside the Sigyn House, so that should be recognizable enough, and is very under-dressed for the weather! ]

Oh! Oh, are you nervous? [He ...embraces her again, feeling so giddy because they've been doing this a lot.] I am, too.

In fact, I'm kinda nervous at the idea of bein' in your room... Should I be embarrassed?

[ She shakes her head, feeling embarrassed that Claire suggested he should feel embarrassed, because she wasn't that embarrassed before but him emphasizing that makes her more embarrassed because of the implications!!!

And she just stands in another awkward, stagnant hug with him, but is now on level so when she lifts her head, it rests perfectly against his while she glances around at their surroundings to ensure they were alone. ]

[He kind of clutches a little tighter now, crowding her over to the wall seemingly unintentionally. His voice raises as he speaks a little too fast, but it's not loud enough to be considered yelling.]

I-it's just you've been smiling all night it seems and it makes me so happy! But it also makes me kinda nervous when I think about it too much! I keep feelin' a bunch of stuff at once and it's difficult to determine if it's one big emotion or a bunch of emotions tied together!

[His voice drops down to a volume barely above a whisper, but it's spoken fast.]

Do you know what I mean?

... [ She tries to adjust to look at him, and sort of bumps foreheads/noses with him as she does, blinking surprised and a bit overwhelmed, but nodding in understanding, as she places a hand against his temple in an attempt to soothe him, then runs it over his hair.

Maybe this was a bit too much for him! It was certainly a lot for her...

Which was strange, since she had been with him for some time, now. ]

I'm soinlove! [He tries to pick her up and give her a little twirl.] That's what it is!! Immense feelings of love!

[ Chane ducks her head a bit forward, afraid it's going to hit the wall when he does this! And holds on to him tightly, sort of stiff...even as she's being twirled. She squeezes Claire's shoulders super hard, like a cat who is being held and wants to be put down! And she gives a serious expression -- but more of a maternal one than an actual scathing one, indicating that she wants to get to her room! ]

[Claire stares at her with utter adoration in his eyes, grinning wide. His arms are locked around her thighs, just below her buttbutt. He takes a step up, continuing to hold her!]

Yeah, we should get to your room before it gets too late, shouldn't we?

[ She nods, impassive, as she looks down at him. It's not that she minded being up late with him, but the later it became, the more...serious the implications would look to anyone who would bear witness. ]

[He proceeds to carry her up the stairs.] You'll have to direct me around the place... I know it'll be difficult, though, since you're new to everything here, yourself.

[ She nods and ...eventually directs him to Room 503, where she resides.

And once they're there, she will pat his shoulders for him to set her down properly in front of her door! She seems to have been lost in thought as they were making their way up the stairs. ]

[Claire sets her down!]

You've been so quiet, Chane! Is there somethin' on your mind?

... [ Chane nods, and then opens her door! And sort of backs up into the threshold, looking at him apologetically

before shutting the door in his face. ]

...

[MINUTES LATER there will be gentle tapping at your window, Chane.]

[ Chane ...is undressing, so she's startled, but there's no need to grab for her knife since she knows who it has to be. She felt bad about the rudeness of her gesture, but with their different places in the relationship, and with more thinking about the situation, she felt a bit uncomfortable to allow Claire into her bedroom for any possible intimacy or affection. (Their version of it, at least)

She will make him wait as she takes her time putting on a nightgown, and then walks over to the window, separating the drapes with her hands like Moses. She's still holding that rose!

And the actual window isn't open yet, but she blinks at him expectantly. ]

[He makes a face at her, but it's too soft to be an angry expression. He's just pouting.]

Chane? Can you hear me from the other side? [He knocks on the glass with his knuckles.] Well, I guess you could, since the glass ain't that thick, but I'd... I'd like it if you could maybe open the window, still.

[ She makes a slight face back at him, showing traces of reluctance, before she opens the window. ]

[Claire's face is stern for a second.]

[And then it melts away ;_;]

You didn't even let me have the chance to say goodbye...

... [ Oh.

Did she hurt

his feelings?

An expression of guilt crosses her face for a moment as she stares. She opens the window all the way now, leaning out a bit, and twirling the stem of the rose in her hands once more. ]

[He's hanging off of the window sill, feet perched up against the wall. His limbs don't even as so much as shake from the strength he's exerting to hold himself up. He leans up as she opens the window, giving her a look of reassurance.]

I just wanted to fix that, is all. I hope you don't mind...!

[ She gazes down at him, not even wondering how he got up to the fifth story so quickly, and her look softens apologetically. She shakes her head, waiting, not breaking the lock that he has on her sight. ]

[Claire leans up further, almost daringly, before stopping once his body was no longer at an angle, holding himself up in a straight position by his arms.]

Well, I suppose this is my goodbye, then... [He purposefully trails off, smile giddy.]

... [ The next breath she takes feels sharp, suddenly, as she watches his smile. Her first blink is lackadaisical, before her eyes brighten a bit, as if she's been awoken from some daze. Her fingers splay on the windowsill for a moment, then move forward, barely brushing against his chest as she continues to stare, giving a slow, almost mesmerized nod. ]
