02.video/action for sigyn [day 38]
[so it's another normal day in the sigyn house. sun is shining, birds are singing. wake up, try to go back to sleep only you can't because the birds are singing a little too loudly because they're buzzing right around your head. Video feed flicks on revealing a rather frazzled Tsuna who is doing his best to ignore the tiny yellow birds who are currently dive bombing his head, squeaking out odd phrases like 'GO MAKE FRIENDS' and 'TALK TO PEOPLE' and 'DON'T BE A HERMIT!!!'
He has bigger things to worry about. Such as the many valentines cards on his desk that seem to have angry messages written all over them. Thanks Enma]
So um. D-Do people normally celebrate Valentines like yesterday? I mean, instead of girls giving chocolates [ducking another divebombing bird and squawks himself, frantically waving them away] on Valentines and boys giving back on White Day? It was a bit different from what I'm normally used to, I guess.
[the screen suddenly fills up with feathers and Tsuna shrieks, snatching his bracelet off the desk as he runs out of the room] -OKAY! OKAY I'M GOING, I'M GOING, STOP DIVE BOMBING ME!!!
Anyway I guess that isn't really important but I heard there were a lot of new people arriving lately? W-welcome I guess and don't worry this sort of thing isn't nooooormaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal--
[and the feed finally clicks off]
[[ooc: Tsuna's been cursed by one of the gods for being a hermit and not interacting with people like he should ever since he decided to hole himself up in his room since the dragon attack. Don't mind the birdies that will be following him and attacking him until he makes some attempt at human interaction. Then they'll just disappear into thin air. Action for all of sigyn as Tsuna tries to shake off the birds. weeps what am I doing]]

[She's thinking school tutor, of course.]

[aaaall of the memories. he actually kind of misses those days. KIND OF he didn't appreciate ending up in hospital for most of them]

An evil and crazy one.
[grump grump grump]

[She glances around, wondering what to do next.]
If I leave... do you think they're going to come back?
no subject
[HE IS NEVER EVER ADMITTING THIS TO REBORN. NEVER.]
I-I have no idea. I should be able to run back inside without worrying about them if I do.
no subject
Did he hide things from you, too? Important things that you should've known before you ever started - whatever you were doing?
[She's glancing around, looking for the birds. The ones in his hair seem content. But they're talking, so it's not like she has to run off right away anyway.]
no subject
[there's a few up on the buildings, bright yellow against the washed out. One flutters down and hops over to Nakama, twittering]
no subject
[She glances down at the bird in surprise, giving it a scolding look. Yes, she's scolding a bird.]
You shouldn't attack people like that, for any reason. There's other ways to get your point across, even for a bird.
no subject
[stares for a second. Dung Beetle?! Who on earth would give someone a name like that?
not that Tsuna is one to talk]I guess being a little tricky and secretive seems to come hand in hand with a lot of tutors and teachers.
[hides a smile when she scolds the bird. The bird hops again, giving a little chirp and somehow, despite its utter lack of facial expressions manages to look a little contrite]

[She's talking more about herself than him now, she realizes, and she looks away with a blush.]
Um... I wanted to thank you again for helping with my burn. Zen says it won't scar because of what you did, and a scar isn't such a big deal, but... I'm still thankful.

[he frowns, looking at her in concern]
Reborn - a lot of his trickery was for small stuff. Silly things, like somehow convincing the head prefect of my school that I wanted to join the disciplinary committee.
[then he shakes his head, blushing a little himself]
I-It was nothing. I'm glad it helped at least.

[he touches her on the arm lightly, awkwardly trying to reassure her before pulling back]
I should be the one saying sorry. I-I didn't realize it'd be a touchy subject. This Koyemshi--he wasn't a very good person, was he?
no subject
It's... a long story, and not a very nice one. And it might be kind of hard to believe.
[She glances around - and they're still crouched on the ground outside of Sigyn house.]
no subject
I've seen a lot of crazy things that no one back home would believe. Try me.
[he thinks briefly. Inside was a little crowded and he's pretty sure this is a conversation Nakama wants people eavesdropping on(he's not even sure if people from other houses are even allowed in, seeing as every other person from another house left before taking a step inside)]
There's a small park not too far from here that not many people go to. There's a cafe not too far from the hospital too. We can talk at either of those places.
no subject
The park will be fine. Hopefully not too many birds will follow. [She's eyeing the ones up on the rooftop, ready with another lecture if one comes down.]
no subject
[he eyes them warily too and begins heading down the street, with a gesture for Nakama to follow]
Lets go.
no subject
Have you ever seen mecha anime or read that kind of manga?
no subject
[ohh bad memories of his childhood essay about wanting to become a giant robot. He wondered what this was leading up to]

[he nods and turns down another street]
We're almost here. It's just up ahead.
[the park really was small - it was grassy field about the size of a small soccer field, with a few benches and trees placed around the perimeter and it was as muted in colour as the rest of the buildings surrounding it. There were a few patches of slightly more vibrant colour but it wasn't much at all]

We - my friends and I - got fooled into signing a contract to pilot a giant robot to save the world. It does sound ridiculous, doesn't it? But all we knew was that when one of us was called, eventually our robot and an enemy one would appear and whoever was called would have to fight. We all sat in the cockpit and watched the fight, and we could call out things and ideas to help and that kind of thing.
We didn't know where the robots came from. We didn't know who was calling us. All we knew was that we had to fight or the world would be destroyed.
2/2
[Her expression and tone becoming grimmer.] Like when the pilots started to die right after their fights. It took two of them just dropping dead, one right on the floor of the cockpit, before he told us... Zearth, our robot, was fueled by human life force. So if we piloted it, we'd die too.
And we couldn't refuse to fight, because once the robots appeared, a time limit started. So if the robot didn't beat us first, the time limit would run out and everything would be destroyed anyway.
So... [Wearily.] ... to save the world, we had to die.

[he goes a little pale and pure horror writes itself on his face. He clenches a fist tightly]
H-How could they do that?
[he is reminded of the ninth trapped in the Gola Mosca, life slowly eroding away. If he had been just a second slower, a little more brutal when he had finally brought the Gola Mosca down-
he doesn't want to imagine Nakama trapped in a similar thing]
None of you had a choice--how could anyone let that happen? It's not right.
