[Equius has been staring at his bracelet for a long time, trying to think of just what to write. Finally, he shakes his head, and just goes for it, sending out two messages, one to the network in general, and one to another troll.

[ The message over the network isn't interesting enough to have caught Lightning's attention, but when it comes to running across one of these weird guys using a bow and arrow...? Well, she doesn't really have anything better to do than pause and watch- for maybe a minute or two tops, she guesses.

In other words, she looks fairly bored. ]

[Oh, it's a troll. She'll confess to some interest in trolls, given that she's friends with some of them and - well, has a rather antagonistic but bizarre relationship with one. Also, she's never seen someone practice archery before, so she's curious.

[Gamzee has been feeling...out of sorts lately. More so than usual, anyway...and not in the good way. He'd been able to retrieve sopor from the cupcake stations while they had been up, but as soon as they had gone, so had his supply and...a little something more.

[If it weren't for Karkat, two more men would be dead at his hands. Since that night in Hel district, he's scarcely talked to anyone...and being so abruptly reminded of such things doesn't exactly rub him the right way...But he did promise the other troll that they would catch up later, and since it is apparently out of concern...]

[He's actually really damn good at it, though that probably comes from excessive practice. His form, while formal, is just about perfect, though he'll glance over at her after a few shots.]

Can you not do archery where you live?

There is! She asked for suggestions where she might practice and I told her I thought the arena in THor district might be a good place to start. Maybe you'll find her there!

Oh - ! [She jumps, and looks a little bit embarrassed - and a little bit scared. One of the trolls came after her in a situation like this, after all. But he sounds so polite, and he doesn't look violent yet.]

I was, um, just curious. I've never seen someone shoot arrows before.

There's a lot of it, isn't there? I kind of have to stick to the stuff that seems most important or immediate! I'll tell her about you next time I talk to her! But in the meantime, maybe I should ask where she could find you?

[He doesn't seem threatening? He's tallish, and there's the broken horn, broken glasses, broken teeth, and broken nose, and a very serious expression, but he doesn't look aggressive or anything.]

A peasant? [She looks confused, until she remembers that whole blood rank thing some of the trolls apparently believe in. A hint of irritation touches her features - the troll she talked to made the system sound terrible.] No, we don't have ranks like that anymore. I'm just a normal girl.

I figured out the troll part pretty quickly, Equius-san. I've got the feeling that the other archer isn't human either -- but she didn't look like a troll.

Then, I'm glad it's easier here :)

[ Well, it's not like Lightning's very accustomed with the use of that kind of weapon or anything- not completely, unfamiliar, at least, though it's curious to her that it's... you know, just a plain bow'n'arrow. Completely sans the fancy doodads that are entirely impossible to get away from with all the tools where she's from. She has to wonder- ]
