This goes on for a few minutes, until it finally stops and Hawke is peering down at her bracelet and then back up at the holographic screen with the most perplexed look on her face. It's pretty clear she hasn't noticed this thing can, and is, recording her, because she just keeps on making witty retorts to herself while jabbing her hand at parts of the screen.]

Figures something like this would've happened. I suppose I should be so lucky that I haven't bumped into another crazy mage so far. Or a dragon, there's always a dragon around. [Sighs.] Perhaps I should invite these gods over to tea, as well. This kind of decorating isn't as cuddly and inviting as I'd expect for honored guests.

[The video is suddenly pointed at her chest. And feet. And the floor. And the wall across her. And basically pretty much everywhere except her face for the next couple of seconds, before it is shoved up to her face where it will only be recording her nose, pretty much, as she proceeds to flick the bracelet and camera several times. I hope you enjoy the sound of tapping, until the feed is cut off, at least.]

he recoils slightly from the bracelet, toying with it for a moment while he attempts to do whatever it was he did to allow hawke to see his face in the first place. instantly suspicion is sort of his default mechanism these days, even if that wasn't his first instinct on seeing her. ]

[A sigh.] I'm serious, though, Anders. Shocking, isn't it?

Unless your definition of "knowing" doesn't extend to hunting and killing things together for years, then yes, I know you.

[She's...just going to be quiet for a moment. Very, very much confused and obviously debating how to respond to this for a second or so, before she just defaults to her usual reaction.]

Oh, Anders. You should have just said you received a crippling blow to the head since last time I saw you. Did a big bad faceless servant hit you in the head with a tray?

[ a pause. strange things have been happening--even stranger than usual, and that's saying something. ]

[ something about that face... he's squinting a little, as though that will bring her into sharper focus. ]

You'll forgive me... [ a brief, bitter smile. ] My memory's not what it might be.

I wouldn't be surprised, with all the people we've managed to piss off in the last years.

[Another pause. It's clear she has no idea if this is a joke or not, even with all the snark.]

Does Hawke ring a bell?

[So...very very unsure about this. And skeptical.]

You know, just because he's so popular these days doesn't mean anyone can have a go at it. I'm certain to claim that title you actually have to fight your own arishok, and those are more difficult to come by than you'd think.

Not that I remember. Unless I drank something that made me forget I drank it in the first place, then yes. Perhaps I did.

[Sighs. She's starting to think this is some very unfunny joke.]

We spoke earlier today. Whatever jests you have cooked up with the real Hawke, you can assure him I've had my fill.

Yes, I imagine they are, considering I haven't bumped into one in the past three years since I became Champion even with all these abominations lying around. It was a very spectacular fight too, even if it was to save Isabela's own hide from having her get carted off by some very angry Qunari.

How long are you going to pretend you don't know me? I wasn't serious about the crazy mage part.

Even when they aren't serious, it still hurts.
