[It's taken up a lot of nerve to finally do this, after her first incident. Even after Alfheim which still burns a brilliant ember in her head. Since then, the days sometimes blur together and Alice has done what she could to keep herself close by as possible. There's the tendency to wander into rabbit holes then there's wandering without recalling a thing of how you got there. All she can do is mutter "not again" as she tries to recollect it. She doesn't say it, she's afraid and tired of it. Alice is looking somewhat better -- although the fatigue shows in her eyes.]
The shadows... they've grown. I don't know how, but they've grown. And I loathe them. What good is it? They come from the unknown, wrought with fear and loathing. And what good is any of that? They only do so much until the light comes. It's not very efficient, I'm afraid.
[Alice rarely has her vorpal blade displayed, but it sits on her lap, as she flexes her hands. Not once does she look into the camera.]
I'd rather use my own hands, my own knife than my own shadow. Yet my own hands can only do so much. If I had everything I once had in my own defense, it would be a very much different story. I know what some of you may think a knife doesn't hold that much against a sword or perhaps a projectile, but I've seen some of you hold even the most smallest, the most hidden of weapons that would even put the most skilled fencer to shame.
Am I wrong for not wanting to rely on Hel's powers?
[She knows what she is doing could be potentially vulnerable, even regretful, but there's things Alice wants to do and people she wants to protect.]
Perhaps I better ask these things now before it fades away in memory.

Anyway, I don't think it's wrong not wanting to rely on the powers your God's given you. After everything we went through last month, we know they're not always reliable. And it's always good to have a back-up. Just in case.

And eventually this world will end and we'll either go back to being powerless or what we were capable of originally. What if there's more to god's powers than just back up?
