video: 2nd round

It is not my usual manner of approaching matters but.. I must admit that it is the most simple.

[ The woman who looks no more like a teenager frowns, but the frown quickly returns to a regular, rather static look as she glances into the feed. ] Is anyone willing to divulge information of the event previous to my arrival? I believe the event is the cause of the two names...

[ She looks off a bit, her lips purse together as she pulls up the name. ]

My apologies. I believe the event is the cause of the two names that "Loki" mentioned. If there is anything that you can tell me, it will be greatly appreciated. I cannot offer you anything in return at the moment, but I will repay you in the future if my assistance is required.

[ She hates information gathering or asking from help from others, but since they are all more or less on the same side, the people of Asgard should be willing to give her a little information. She can work out the rest on her own. The sooner she can get oriented with the reality, then the better for her when they fight the war for real. ]

The event.. [ Give her a moment to think. Ange's so disinterested in most of the stuff that goes on here that she only half pays attention to it, so it takes a moment for things to click in her mind. ]

Do you mean the big battle we had as part of the war?

Yeah, we had a big battle that was part of the war the gods were making us participate in. In the end one of the gods sacrificed himself for us to win, otherwise I guess we would have lost said battle instead.

A lot of people who were taken to this place fought in it. Since I didn't I don't know what it was like on the battlefield a lot, but I do know there were at least a lot of healers to take care of wounded people.

.. But even so.. I'm not sure how much of a chance we even stood to begin with, really.

I LOVE BACKTAGGING so don't worry!

I'm not sure if it's so hopeless, it's just what it seemed like to me. Honestly, if these gods wanted us to fight, then why didn't they drag in more people who can actually fight well? [ Since Ange knows she herself doesn't really fall in the categories of soldiers of warriors or anything. ] Then why did they take away our powers..?

Then they would have tried to pick people who were strong enough to fight, but not strong enough to fight against them, right? Then at least it wouldn't seem completely hopeless.

.. Yeah, you're right. Gods always do whatever they want in stories, and these aren't much different.

[ she should probably at least tell her this too-- ] Not to mention that they don't mind using violence to teach us a lesson.
