Well, I must say it's quite beautiful here. I have to ask, though--it always this, er, soggy?

[He curls up in his perch, sighing as the wind tries to ruffle his meticulously-styled hair.] As much as I love tasteful post-modern Swiss design, I can't help but find this all a bit...off-putting. I mean, it's not like I have anything particularly-- [going for me at home, he's about to say, but refrains. Instead, he trails off, looking around again.]

I'm Kurt, by the way. Kurt Elizabeth Hummel. I'd hate to embarrass myself by introducing myself to a bracelet, so tell me a bit about yourselves? And a little more about this--this god business. I take it people here are rather religious? [He doesn't look very thrilled about that, but...]

Anything you'd like to talk about would be nice. It would be lovely to speak to someone who doesn't look as though they stepped out of the American Gothic. [Powers? Faceless maids? We're not talking about those things. We're taking it easy right now. The panic will come later, when he figures out that this isn't a dream.]

I can assure you that the fact that there are gods here has nothing to do with religion or us believing in them or not.

Does the word 'god' mean something different around here, or what?

That'd depend on what it refers to in your world, right? Although I'd generally assume you mean some sort of omnipotent being.

It seems the ones here are like the ones from Norse mythology where I come from.

I don't really know anything about Norse mythology, but-- Doesn't the word 'mythology' connote something that's, well, a myth? That's not real?

Recently I've come to learn that there are plenty of things that shouldn't be real, but actually are.

This is just another part of that lesson, I suppose.

But it's not like the gods will listen to that. In fact, I get the feeling they only seem to enjoy it the more miserable we are.
