[Bike-riding aside, Castiel usually only posts to the network when he has something important to say. He's about to break pattern, because while there are various things to address--like people exploding--none of that is currently as pressing as the situation he's found himself in.

Castiel had been napping at the kitchen table, minding his own business, until he'd been suddenly awoken by being generally uncomfortable. It had taken a moment to figure out why, but it's very obvious as he turns on the bracelet, looking not at all amused.

Massive black wings are partially visible in frame, folded against his back; the wrist joint is arcing almost a foot over his head, and though it's impossible to see at the angle, the tips of his primary feathers are just above the floor. His wingspan is probably a good fourteen feet.]

This is not amusing.

[He is so incredibly displeased. How had this even happened? He still looks just as annoyed, but slightly more uncertain as he asks his next question.]

Has anything like this happened to anyone else?

My real wings are incorporeal. But this would be an accurate enough physical representation.

[Sam is coming out of his room, looking -- well, kind of like shit. He hasn't slept in days. But he's hungry, which means he's going to go to the kitchen, but ... Castiel is ...

Sam tilts his head slightly, eyes narrowing, because -- well, he had been seeing things a lot more frequently lately, and Lucifer hovering at his shoulder certainly doesn't help, but he hasn't hallucinated random appendages before. And he steps forward carefully, blinking a few times, but -- they're still there.

... whoa. Insanity seriously does not fuck around.

And Sam, because... well, he's Sam, immediately does what insane Sams do whenever presented with an object that makes no sense.

He reaches out to prod Castiel's wing a bit sharply before tugging on a couple of feathers.]

... weird.

[This trip is seriously made out of some good shit. They even feel real.]

[Bobby had been in the kitchen fixing himself a sandwich, only to be nearly hit in the face with wings that had not been there a few seconds ago.

He stares.

And stares.

And stares.

Then he bursts out laughing.

Sam's reaction doesn't help. At all.

It also doesn't sound like he will stop any time soon.]

[ Well this is certainly a change. But she smiles. She's a bit in awe. After the whole - shit, wings, is he evil? - shock wears off, anyway. He definitely doesn't seem like Sephiroth, or any other bearer of Jenova's genetic patterns. ]

[He's a little surprised by both that smile and the compliment; he's not entirely sure what he thinks of these, but they're an accurate enough approximation of what his incorporeal and unperceivable true wings look like that he can take the compliment sort of to heart.

Not that he says anything like that.]

[As if to prove his statement, one twitches seemingly of it's own volition and knocks over a chair.]

[Lucifer's face is full of complete and utter humor. This, to him, is a rather worrying development in the wider scope of things, but it doesn't appear to be harmful, and, therefore, he can take as much schadenfreude as he wants from the comedy that the situation embodies.]

[ shadowhunters were nephilim, of course, descended from the angel raziel and the first shadowhunter, jonathon; will's belief in religion, though, doesn't extend so far as having any concrete faith in it. he doesn't care for god (he'd say he doesn't believe in him, but it's not as simple as that), and angels weren't something he'd ever considered the place of in present day — whatever present was, here. he certainly never imagined he'd see one. ]

Is there anyone else here it could happen to? That's the question I'd ask before contemplating yours.

It does sting a bit seeing them, since they do remind him of the brief five minutes when he got his own wings back, but he puts that aside and stares in wonder for a good minute or so before speaking.]

He sputters and starts batting the whatever it is out of his face before realizing the wings (they're probably wings if they have feathers) are attached to something. Someone.

Dean just. Stares. And frowns. And then bites his lip to try and hold back his laughter, but that's ultimately unsuccessful as a single loud laugh bursts out of him before he can press his lips together in a hard smile.]

[Castiel is minding his own business in the hallway, stretching his wings out in the space; it's one of the only places in the house wide enough to do so without knocking anything over. He doesn't notice Dean coming in until the hunter runs into Castiel's right wing and he draws it back when Dean starts swatting at it, folding them both up against his back and staring back at Dean. And then Dean laughs, and Castiel frowns.]

This isn't funny, Dean.
