[001] Video/Action for Hel Welcome Hall

[Lucifer's expression over the video is one of absolute calm sprinkled with innocence. He speaks gently, almost lightly.]

Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.

[After a dramatic pause, he shakes his head slightly, keeping his gaze slightly lowered. At this angle, the fresh scarring framing his eyes is more prominent.]

It appears that I have been rather inconveniently relocated and placed into this "Hel" house. I'm not entirely certain I can trust the information that I have been given upon my awakening here. The letter was terribly vague, and the woman who conveyed what little information she would has only been marginally helpful. It's all a bit Syfy Channel to me.

[He sighs, put-upon, before looking back up, a hopeful little smile coming over his face.]

Would anyone be so kind as to clear up a few discrepancies for me?

[Lucifer rarely replies to other peoples' posts, largely because they are, naturally, not quite interesting enough for him to muster the effort. He has more important things to attend to, after all. But he's still very much in the habit of at least looking into every single one, learning what he can about the people here and how they can fit into his larger plan.]

[But this name catches his eye, of course. How quaint, that someone would be using his name. So he's interested enough to reply, even with a video to show the annoyingly angelic wings on his back]

The vagueness of the letter is only the beginning. You'll find quickly enough that everything else about the place is just as enigmatic. More of the same, really.

[He smirks] But you're fitting too strongly to the stereotype. The Lightbringer being in the house of darkness is aptly cliche.

[The dry humor is mirrored]

Unfortunately. I almost lament their lack of understanding for it, since it would make their scheme at least more entertaining. But at least the players they pick offer some intrigue.

[There's a pause, since he's clearly talking about the irony in facing "himself," yet another person entirely.] Wouldn't you agree?

I feel as if the title on the cover wouldn't be very interesting even if we could see it. It's the same story, just with a different set of authors who overestimate their reach. As always.

I always have.

[But as much as he loves wordplay and double meanings, there's more curiosity than a desire for either. He had, naturally, thought this was just a foolish being using his name, but if that were the case, they were particularly good at playing the role. He's reminded of the claimed difference in worlds, in him, and he can't help but feel that perhaps they hold some truth after all.]

[It just took meeting himself at a crossroads to do it.]

But this feels something like masturbation. We could play at word games for eternity, but I'm much more interested in your name. Just as you're interested in mine.

[It's not a question, since it's something that he's so sure about.]

It seems a bit unwise on their part to bring two Devils.

One of their more endearing traits.

[The stress on that word is laced with some pretty recent annoyance. The process of getting his wings back was still far more annoying than he had hoped. The Norse gods laying their claims so shortly after was still something of a sore spot.]

Yet, you can't blame them for their failings. They are young beings who think themselves old and invincible.

[Simply,] For some reason, they hate to be reminded of this.
