It feels really weird to be away from t)(e dream bubbles but t)(ey probably don't need me anemonemore, so t)(at's okay.

Oops, I got a little sidetracked so I will introduce myself now.

[ she sounds a little stern for a moment but allows him to shoo her in, rather glad to be back indoors before she freezes her gills off. completely oblivious to how he is currently feeling or previous events, she smiles after they make it indoors, turning back to face him. ]

[ she reaches over, taking off one of his scarves (though it probably won't do much good) and puts it on herself. ]

[Oh god, he missed her so terribly much, it's physically painful. It is really hard to look her in the face and not simply drop to his knees and put his arms around her waist and cry against her for awhile, how did everything go so stupidly wrong?]

I like yourth too. [He throws the next scarf at her too, shoving off his hood and fumbling the park undone, so there's substantially less of him, and the faint mustard tinge in his face becomes visible.] Don't jack my thtuff, I brought you thome of your own. Come here, I'll warm you up.

[He holds his arms out for her. That means he wants a hug, in Sollux speak.]

[ she knows! which is why she leans into his arms when he does. while the dream bubbles were nice she didn't stay there long at all and haven't had a chance to see him again. so, having a new task to work on and having sollux with her is a great blessing.

[He tucks his face against her hair, trying really hard to keep it together for her. There are no words to express how badly he missed her, even though things had slid between them, even with everything else. And she died, and everything is such a fucking mess.]

[ snuggling into him, sollux was very warm and she knew that waiting for him outside was the right decision to make no matter how cold it was. and after a moment or two she pulls back slightly, just enough to get a good look at his face. ]

[ she could tell he was trying to keep it together, and it was pretty glubbing cute to her. ]

[Sollux looks like he's been through hell. There are big yellow bags under the rims of his glasses from lack of sleep and a few lines on his face, from perpetually frowning, from stress. He looks like he needs to go to bed for a few sweeps. He looks like he shouldn't even be able to stand up, and his lip is split from doing what he's doing right now, which is sinking his fangs into it.]

[ she would glub on about feelings and such but it was clear from one look Sollux was in no condition to be here. her excitement dulls down rather quickly, replaced with concerned. ]

You look awful. Have you been sleeping at all?

[His fingers start to stroke through her hair, down the fall of her back, trying to reassure her before she can get too worked up about this.]

No, but it'th ok, I never thlept that much anyway. It'th jutht harder, here, in thome wayth. You know they cut off any thort of ability you had before?

[This is not technically even a lie about why he sleeps so poorly; but the rest of it is stress, and guilt, and grief, and he doesn't want to bring that up just yet.]

[ while she does take his excuse it doesn't stop her from being worried. ]

We should take a nap! I don't know how you can even salmon the strength to come over here looking like this.

[Also he just realized, they're standing in the hall doing this practically in public.]

[ she quickly begins to put on the clothes sollux brought her. he sure did bring a lot! she puts on a hoodie before the big puffy snow coat, idly wondering if she's going to look ridiculous after she's done, especially since these are meant to fit sollux and not her. she readjusts her scarfs and then reaches for the pants, using sollux for support as she attempts to get them on. it would be embarrassing if she fell.

her hips prove to be too wide. girls got a figure. ]

[Baby got back, ok, he's always kind of liked that about her. Even though he feels a bit guilty checking it out again, given what she's missed out on. But Sollux is a stick, and it's obvious when she tries to put his pants on that she's got it going on.]

[ He pushes her gently, more of a body bump than anything else. ]

[ sly eyeroll as she grabs his arm. ]

[ of course guilt or no guilt he'd let her drag him anywhere. They can't very well talk properly out in public; there's not even a pile. And it was kind of humiliating last time she made his do it.]

[ she glances at him as they make their way into her room. room 501! it was a really odd question to ask, especially since she was right in front of him in one piece. ]

[And of course now that he's said it he doesn't know why. Because she's dead? When did she ever care about that? Because- but nobody would have told her, hopefully, so he can at least do it himself. Because he's a fucking idiot.]
