BACKDATED TO YESTERDAY ➔ 1ST MUTATION ➔ VIDEO
Better late than never, I'd say.
[ Charles has been trying to adjust to life in Asgard. He was pulled out of his world, at the worst possible time only to arrive to the fact - he was void of his telepathy. Adjusting is a work in progress. But he's treating this thing like it was a presentation or a lecture, so he's doing his best to look adequate. Like it's not getting to him. The smile he passes is an easy one. ]
I suppose, it's common courtesy to introduce oneself over the network. My name is Charles Xavier. Before arriving in Asgard, I was a professor of Genetics. I had written a thesis on genetic advancements, mutations. People with gifts. Gifts that were very much so similar to the 'powers' bestowed to us by these gods. Gifts with untapped potential to be the catalyst for a better world.
In Asgard, we are a put at a point - where everyone is put on equal footing. Everyone is in possession of these gifts and we're capable of having peaceful cohabitation. But it does beg the question, before Asgard - was anyone in possession of gifts?

I'm still rather unfamiliar with the powers of the other houses. I've got healing, but I still need to determine it's capacities.

Kids? You mean here? Oh believe me. I've already had words with them about that. They're monsters for bringing kids here. No kid needs to be fighting a war...
[She had a historical inkling that people at some points went to war much earlier, but she didn't like seeing someone Arya's age in danger.]
As for the powers, Sam Winchester made a list and some explanations. Odin gives powers over fire or frost. Hel either allows my body control or Shadow Manipulations. Freya either gives an energy drain or the ability to charm people. Sigyn does healing or plant control. Thor's strength and speed. Loki hands out telepathy and telekinesis. Heimdall either allows them to act like an energy battery to boost other people or lets them take on other people's wounds. Baldr covers regeneration and flight. And, honestly? Freyr allows people to influence others with performance or some weird power about painting I don't understand. Never seen it at work.
People only seem to have one of those.

I fully agree with that Samantha. And if ever you'd need anyone to help you bring it up, consider this an offer. This is something I feel should be stressed upon. Children aren't meant to be soldiers.
[ He makes a mental note. Sam Winchester. Looking you uppp. ]
That's interesting. Though, I have to admit - I'd have vastly preferred healing to plant control. It's certainly a wide enough selection. And if memory serves right - everyone who isn't one of the 'gray' manages to acquire these powers?

There's no choice on it. They're stuck here like the rest of us, and I'm getting a sneaking suspicion they'll be targeted as much as us as well. Keep an eye on the ones with pokemon. A few of them are... like ten or something.
I'd love to have almost anything but Body Control, so trust me. I feel you there. As far as I know the gods have powers, and the people trapped here with bracelets get their powers from whichever god brought them here. Loki left a nasty little note at one point that said we're each tied to the soul of one of these gods, so we're probably tapping into their power somehow, and those are the powers that are left.
There's magical herbs and runes, and I think there may have been a lot more power here, but I'm not sure. I think the gray sucked the life out of this place somehow, at least from what I've seen and people have said.

That's rather interesting. Sorry. I have absolutely no experience or knowledge in what counts as magic. I apologize if it seems like I'm prying. This all seems terribly fascinating.

And don't worry too much. You're not prying as much as you'd think, and besides. It's better to talk about herbs and runes around here. It's something I'm good for that doesn't involve Hel's powers. I don't mind talking alchemy as a rule.
